Dear Detective Archer,
Ah Mr Archer you see
When He struck me he smiled with glee
Shocked me and knocked me and chained me did he
All through the night he locked me up and tossed out the key
And now I rest in kingdom of the lord almighty
The people gather now at the temple gayley
But there is a black lamb who will stray and flee
I had a wife did I as beautiful as the evening sky was she
She had the hair of the sugar maple and was as sweet as her name Rowena
Under the willow she hums as she reads
Sincerely Desmond O’Riley
